It has been reported in the news that there are e-mails with very damaging attachments circulating. Try your best to not fall victim to these type of emails. The e-mail was sent with an attachment which contained a virus or trojan attachment. It was reportably sent from AT&T and said that the employee had received a voice mail. The e-mail contained CryptoLocker, a malicious software, that encrypts a user’s hard drive. The computer locks down and accessibility to data will be held for ransom. If the ransom is not paid within the allotted time, the data stays encrypted. Always be cautious of opening e-mails that you do not usually receive and make sure your computer security is always up to date.
